ORGAN BLUES hail from Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood with a rusty, jagged-edged indie-rock style. Their debut EP, The Tank, is full of panicked, reverberating guitar riffs and gritty, menacing vocals over a pummeling barrage of drumbeats. When asked for influences, the trio can’t help but give a nod to bands like Sonic Youth, Pavement, and Iggy and the Stooges.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Brick House last night in Jersey Shore. Thanks especially to Abe and the guys running sound, everything sounded great. After spending a good year and a half playing bars in the city it was good (for our spirits) to get out into the ‘country’ and play an all-ages show. You guys really know how to move and enjoy the music without all the dogma of city scene life. Don’t feel timid about staying in touch; e-mail, blog, and/or post comments, let us know what you guys are up to and hopefully sooner than later we’ll make it back out to Jersey Shore to rock the Brick House. Take care.

-John Mal

Maybe next time we’ll stay the night (& save ourselves an exhausting drive home @ night) and either camp out or crash on someone’s floor.

Hello All:

It certainly has been a little while since we have looked down of the stage at all your pretty smiling faces and I for one know that I miss you! I can only hope that some of you miss us as well. To give you a little update it has been pretty much the typical hot as balls hectically busy summer that I have come to expect from Philadelphia. At current time the band news is that we have added our incredibly handsome and talented neighbor Dennis to band line up to play bass and I for one think its sounding pretty great. We are also beginning to put finishing touches the songs that will make up our upcoming full length which for now shall remain nameless and faceless. Believe me I do realize that the songs that we currently have out there for you to listen to are probably starting to feel a little worn out since they have been up there for going on a year now. We should be posting some new demos pretty soon you have my word!

-Bueno

“These 4 songs all wander and creep and then, after sucking you in, hammer you over the head with a sledge hammer (ouch).”

Apparently, if you love getting hit by hammers you’ll love it!
